Anime Club-Christmas in Japan
ZB Teens in 5th through 12th grades and young adults, up to age 25, learn how the Japanese spread happiness and joy during the Christmas season on Thursday, 12/4 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Click here for more information.

Join us for a daylong Christmas Movie Marathon! We’ll provide hot cocoa while you enjoy classics old and new. Everyone is invited on Saturday, 12/6 from 9:00-4:30 p.m. Click here for more information.

Explore Your World-Music
Calling all explorers! In December, we’ll explore the world around us through music. Singers in K-4th grades are invited to practice on Wednesday, 12/10 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Our final performance for friends, family, and visitors is on 12/17 at 3:30 p.m. Click here for more information.

FROZEN Cookie Bake-off
ZB Teens in 5th through 12th grades, are invited to enter the 2nd Annual CookieFrozen girls Bake-Off! This year’s theme is FROZEN. Cookies will be judged on Saturday, 12/13 between 1:00-1:30 p.m. Awards will be given out at 2:45 p.m. A complete list of rules and prizes is available at the Adult Services and Youth Services desks. FROZEN Winter Festival
Bring the whole family to our FROZEN Winter Festival. Get your face painted by Ms Anna Art, decorate cookies, play Pin the Nose on Olaf, and make a winter craft. You can even meet Elsa and Anna in person! Everyone is invited on Saturday, 12/13 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Click here for details.

Ugly Sweater Party
Tis the season to be tacky in your ugliest holiday sweater. Transform a plain old sweater it into hideous holiday apparel and enter it into the Ugly Sweater competition! For ZB Teens in 5th through 12th grades on Thursday, 12/18 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Click here for details.

American Girl-Molly’s Jolly Christmas
Tis the season to be Jolly! Kids in K-8th grades and a parent or guardian are invited to an American Girl Christmas Surprise. We’ll warm up with hot chocolate, craft a Christmas present, and much more. Bring your favorite doll on Saturday, 12/20 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Click here for details.

Make & Take Christmas Gifts
ZB Teens in 5th through 12th grades—save your money and make presents. Parents, grandparents, and teachers love handmade gifts that come from your heart. You can make two different gifts on Monday, 12/22 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Click here for details.

Join the Board
Nominating papers (petition packets) for the office of Library Board Trustee will be available on Monday, September 22, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. at the library’s Administrative Office. Packets are for candidates wishing to be on the ballot for the Consolidated Election to be held on April 7, 2015. Click here to read more.

Expanded Genealogy Services
The library is now a FamilySearch affiliate library. The new designation means library patrons will have greater and more convenient access to the wealth of genealogical resources available through FamilySearch. FamilySearch is the world’s largest repository of free genealogical records and manages the famous Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. There is a nominal fee of $7.50 to order a microfilm. Once the film arrives, patrons use the microfilm viewer at the library.

Socks for the Soul
Donate socks and help someone in need. All types of new socks are appreciated, but packages of crew socks designed for warmth are especially needed for men, women, children, and infants.
