MINUTES OF THE EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE SPECIAL BOARD MEETING OF THE ZION-BENTON PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT
June 23, 2015

The purpose of the Executive Session was to:

• Discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).

President St. Cyr called the meeting to order at 7:55 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Present: Wendy Driver, Jacqueline Holmes, Mary Martin, Beverly Mull, Amy Onan, Dale Ridder, and Matthew St. Cyr. Absent: None. Staff present: Carol Dolin. Visitors present: None.

Mrs. Dolin presented a plan for reorganization of library departments and staff. She recommended specific staff members to lead each department with pay rates based on the responsibilities of each new position and a revised salary structure, which is based on a salary study and the state mandated increase in minimum wage. Mrs. Dolin outlined changes to specific positions over the past year and discussed the potential for leadership growth in the six proposed staff members. Mr. Ridder expressed concern over the number of direct reports Mrs. Dolin would have following the reorganization.

The board reconvened in open session at 8:20 p.m.
