Programs in The Sandbox are for teens in grades 6-12, but some programs are open to kids in grade 5 and others are even open to adults! Check the current calendar for program dates and age ranges.

Do you love comic books and graphic novels? Then join The Realm: Comic Discussion Group! Each month we will read two different graphic novels and discuss the books over snacks. Pick up copies of the books in The Sandbox office (inside Information Services) when you register. Please have each each book read before coming the discussion group.

This month we will be reading Paper Girls by Brian K. Vaughan and Ms. Marvel:No Normal by G. Willow Wilson.
Paper Girls is a starts in the early hours of Halloween in 1988. Four 12-year-old newspaper delivery girls uncover the most important story of all time.
Ms. Marvel features Kamala Khan, an ordinary girl from Jersey City- until she’s suddenly empowered with extraordinary gifts! But who truly is the new Ms. Marvel? Teenager? Muslim? Inhuman? Find out as she takes the Marvel Universe by storm!

The Makerspace: The Sandbox


We are located in the Information Services Department of the library where the old computer lab used to be. In The Hive, you’ll find a 3D printer, art supplies of all kinds, jewelry making supplies, electronic circuitry boards, and so much more.
