Carol DolinCarol Dolin Hired as Library Director: We are pleased to announce that Carol Dolin has been hired as our new Library Director. Dolin comes to us from Sugar Grove Public Library District where she has been director since May 2012. She has a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Studies from Roosevelt University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Dominican University, which she earned in 2010. Dolin has seventeen years of experience in public libraries across the Chicago suburban area.

Dolin, who is excited to join the ZB Library, will start on October 6. She looks forward to working with the board and staff and connecting with district residents. “I am very impressed by the library staff’s and board’s energy and creativity. This is a wonderful opportunity to continue to learn and grow, and I can’t wait to get started. My first priority is to learn more about the library and the communities and people of Beach Park, Winthrop Harbor, and Zion, and how we can continue to evolve to serve them. Nann will be a tough act to follow, but I aim to do my best!”

A public reception at the library will be planned to welcome Dolin to our community. Details will be coming soon!
