Check out the Internet from the Library!

Zion Benton Public Library cardholders age 18 or older are now able to check out mobile WiFi hotspots from the library. Wi-Fi Hotspots are small, portable devices that let patrons bring free internet service into their homes or wherever service is desired, for up to two weeks at a time. These devices come with unlimited data, and have speeds up to 5G, strong enough to handle multiple devices, as well as streaming video or music.

Here’s how it works:

  • Place a hold on a Wi-Fi Hotspot through the Zion Benton Library Catalog or visit the Adult Services Dept to check for availability.
  • You can borrow one device per library card.
  • Keep your device for up to two weeks. It is non-renewable, but you can place another hold after you return it.
  • Wi-Fi Hotspots can be picked up and returned to the Adult Services Department Desk. Please do not return in the book drops outside of the library.
  • $60 replacement fee for a lost device.
  • Hotspots not returned on time will have internet capabilities turned off, and a replacement fee will be assessed.
  • The Hotspot Package comes with the device, a charging wire, as well as info on how to set up connections for your devices.

Pre-loaded Rokus!

The Zion Benton Public Library’s Rokus are back and available for checking out! Each Roku device comes prepopulated with movies including the newest releases and is configured to offer free channels for endless entertainment. The library has Roku’s that are for all ages, or specifically for children. The children/family Roku is loaded with kid-friendly movies as well as channels, that are free to use.

Here’s how it works:

  • Browse our library catalog to check for availability, and/or to place a hold on a Roku
  • ZBPL cardholders are able to borrow a Roku for up to two weeks, no charge
  • Limit 1 Roku per card/household
  • Roku Devices come with preinstalled apps, and instructions to help you get started for the enjoyment
  • A steady, strong WiFi connection is required for the Rokus to work. Without WiFi in your home, the Roku’s, unfortunately, will not work
