Ways You Can Support Your Library

The Zion-Benton Public Library has many ways in which you can be of service to your community. You can shop any of our Amazon Wishlists, drop off donations in-person, or make a monetary donation. Thank you for all you do to help build our beloved community.

Monetary Donations: Send financial support directly to ZB Library. No matter how big or small, your donation is appreciated by all!

Material Donations: As space allows we also accept books, Blu-Rays/DVDs, CDs, videogames, puzzles, audiobooks, and magazines in good condition.

  • The Zion-Benton Public Library is currently accepting donations.
    • We accept books, Blu-Rays/DVDs, CDs, videogames, puzzles, audiobooks, and magazines in good condition. Please no home videos.
    • Please limit your donation to 4 bags/boxes at a time, and no plastic containers.
    • Please contact the library before you arrive, (847) 872-4680, and inform staff that you are donating materials and your estimated time of arrival.
    • A staff member will meet you at the curbside location at the back of the library.
    • Donation receipts available upon request.

Amazon Wishlists: Support ZB Library by buying and shipping directly to the Library any items from the wishlists below.

  • ZB Little Free Food Pantry
    • Provides free food items to feed those in need as a bridge to more reliable, sustaining resources. Donations can also be dropped off at the Circulation Desk in the lobby.
  • ZB Comfort Library
    • Provides a variety of comfort items for those in need. We accept sealed travel-sized items such as deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, and lip balm. Please drop off donations at the Circulation Desk.
  • ZB Seed Library
    • The ZB Seed Library supports the community by providing a wide variety of seeds to the public, for FREE! In 2024 over 6,200 seed packets were given away to our community.

      • Donating funds for seed packing supplies
      • Donating unopened seed packets – annuals and herbs are always in demand. Donations can be dropped off at the Circulation Desk in the Lobby.
      • Donating your time from! Volunteer your time at the Seed Library meetings at 1:00 PM on the Third Wednesday of every month from September to May.
