Zion-Benton Public Library Strategic Planning Task Force

6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015

Mrs. Driver called the meeting to order at 6:35pm.

Present: Wendy Driver (Chair), Jacqueline Holmes, and Carol Dolin. Absent: Amy Onan.

Mrs. Driver, Mrs. Dolin, and Ms. Holmes tallied the paper surveys and reviewed the report from the online survey. The majority of respondents are regular or frequent library users and use the library primarily to borrow materials or to attend library sponsored programs. Most people are satisfied with the condition and size of the library. Many people would like to see the library open every day.

Approximately 40 respondents indicated interest in participating in a focus group. Two dates will be chosen in November or early December. All people who expressed and interest and provided contact information will be invited. The focus groups will be held in the library meeting rooms and promoted via the library’s website, e-news, and social media. Registration will be open to anybody and limited to 30 participants for each session.

Mrs. Driver will report to the Board at the October 27 Regular Board Meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 8:35 pm.
