Covers the time period from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014;
The audit was conducted by Milburn Cain & Co., certified public accountants;
The audit report is available for inspection at the Zion-Benton Public Library District, 2400 Gabriel Ave., Zion, Illinois between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Saturday, except for holidays.

RESOLUTION TO DETERMINE AN ESTIMATE OF FUNDS NEEDED FOR 2014-2015 FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, the Zion-Benton Public Library District must file on or before December 31, 2014, its Levy Ordinance for the 2014-2015 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to “The Truth in Taxation Act” (35 ILCS 215/1 et. seq.), the Zion-Benton Public Library District must determine not less than 20 days prior to adoption of its Levy Ordinance the amounts of money estimated to be necessary to be raised by taxation for the 2014-2015 fiscal year upon the taxable property in said Library District, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND DETERMINED by the Board of Trustees of the Zion-Benton Public Library District that the amount of money estimated to be necessary to be raised by taxation for the 2014-2015 fiscal year upon the taxable property in said Library District shall be $2,119,758.
ADOPTED pursuant to roll call vote on this 23rd day of September, 2014.

NOTICE OF FILING PETITIONS FOR NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR ZION-BENTON PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that candidates for membership on the Board of Trustees of the Zion-Benton Public Library District, Lake County, Illinois, to be voted for at the Consolidated Election to be held on April 7, 2015, shall file their petitions at the library’s Administrative Office, 2400 Gabriel Ave., Zion, IL, 60099, on any business day, Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding holidays (11/27/14, 12/24/14, and 12/25/14).
Nominating papers will be available on Monday, September 22, 2014, at 9:00 AM at the library’s Administrative Office.
The first day for filing nomination papers for the April 7th Consolidated Election is Monday, December 15, 2014, and the last day for filing of said nomination papers is Monday, December 22, 2014. Candidates’ names will appear on the election ballot in the order in which their nominating papers are received. In the case of simultaneous filings on Monday, December 15, 2014 (at 9:00 AM and via USPS), a lottery will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, December 22, 2014. In the case of simultaneous filings on Monday, December 22, 2014 between the hours of 4:00-5:00 PM, a lottery will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, December 29, 2014.
Three (3) seats on the Library Board to fill full 6-year terms that will expire in April of 2022 and one (1) opening to fill an unexpired 2-year term that will expire in April of 2017 will be filled at the April 7th election.
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, by Ordinance adopted on the 22nd day of July, 2014, the Board of Trustees of the Zion-Benton Public Library District determined to levy an additional tax of 0.02% of the value of all the taxable property in the District, as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue, for the purchase of sites and buildings, the construction and equipment of buildings, the rental of buildings required for library purposes, and maintenance, repairs and alterations of library buildings and equipment, said tax levy to be effective for the 2014-2015 fiscal year. The text of said Ordinance is set forth below.
The question of levying a 0.02% tax shall be submitted to the electors of the District if a petition is filed with the Board signed by 2,458 registered voters in the District asking that the question of levying said 0.02% tax be submitted to the electors of the District. Said petition must be filed within thirty (30) days after publication of this Public Notice. The date of the prospective referendum is April 7, 2015.

TAKE NOTICE that of the Board of Trustees of the Zion-Benton Public Library District, pursuant to “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other workers employed in any public works by the State, county, city or any public body or any political subdivision or by anyone under contract for public works,” approved June 2014, as amended, has determined on, and as effective from June 24, 2014, that the general prevailing rate of wages in this locality for laborers, mechanics, and other workers engaged in the construction of public works coming under the jurisdiction of the Zion-Benton Public Library District is the same as determined by the Department of Labor of the State of Illinois for Lake County as of June, 2014.
